Rules of Conduct at LIC

Professional Integrity

Members and staff shall act honestly, with integrity and competence, and in a manner to fulfill the profession’s responsibility to the public and to uphold the reputation of the center. Thus they shall perform professional services with skill and care.
It is the professional responsibility of our members not to be associated with anything which the member knows or should know is false or misleading. A member shall not engage in any professional conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation or commit any act that reflects adversely on the center.

Discrimination

LIC agrees that there should be no discrimination exercised or practiced against members or staff based on age, sex, sexual orientation, family status, mental or physical disability, martial status or a conviction for which a pardon has been granted.

Harassment

LIC is an environment that is free from verbal, physical or sexual harassment.

Behavior of Staff and Members

Staff and members of LIC shall conduct himself/herself in a way that does not deter from the efficient operation of the center.

Thus members and staff shall:

• Comply with the rules, policies and regulations of the center.
• Not harass other members or employees.
• Not use of drugs or alcohol during the hours of presence in the center.
• Use all equipments and materials in a safe and efficient way.
• Staff or members shall inform the administration of any potential or actual conflict of interest within the code of values of the center.
• A member or staff shall not disclose to another party any confidential information obtained through a professional assignment performed unless expressly or implicitly authorized to do so.

Privacy

The Lebanese Information Center (LIC) shares your concerns about the privacy of the information collected from different sources. We are committed to protecting your privacy through a developed system of data management. If you have any questions or concerns about privacy issues, please do not hesitate to contact the administration of LIC.

Collecting and Using Personal Data

In order to form our statistical system, we will be collecting personal data for several research projects. Personal data may include names, emails, phone numbers, and addresses, date of birth, martial status, religious affiliation and city of birth. Our developed data management system will safely store the following data that was given voluntarily.

We shall not sell, rent or share the data that we have with a third party. Information submitted to us will only be available to our members and to our staff members except for protecting the reputation and credibility of our center.

Security Measures

LIC has established reasonable precautions to protect collected personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

Rights

We retain the right to do any changes on our privacy policy, on our code of Ethics that best fit the interest of the center.
